How Our Story Began

Our roots began with Wendy's experience and the belief that no survivor should carry their pain alone. From her journey, Trauma2Truth was created to offer safe, non-clinical support services, heartfelt community connections, and healing-centered programs. Guided by compassion, our mission is to honor every story, and our vision is a world where survivors' truths are met with understanding, dignity, and hope.

Turning Pain Into Purpose

At 50, Wendy reached for VA PTSD support, slowly naming her trauma and reclaiming her voice. From that journey came Trauma2Truth's peer-led, non-clinical support circles, story-sharing workshops, and healing-centered groups - services designed to offer understanding, safety, and connection. These compassionate, high-quality supports help survivors feel less alone, build resilience, and begin transforming pain into purpose.

Creating a Home for Healing

That vision grew into Trauma2Truth in Redford Township, a free, non-clinical home for healing where survivors are welcomed with dignity, respect, and compassion. Rooted in lived experience and trauma-informed values, this community-centered space offers gentle, accessible support through yoga, music, conversation, and peer connection - inviting each person to move at their own pace toward safety, wholeness, and shared hope.

Wendy Anderson - Founder

Wendy Anderson is the founder of Trauma2Truth and a Service-Connected Gulf War Veteran who served eleven years on active duty in the United States Army. Her work is deeply rooted in lived experience, shaped by her own journey of healing after surviving military sexual trauma and carrying that silence for more than three decades. Through courage, reflection, and support, Wendy transformed her pain into purpose—creating Trauma2Truth as a free, welcoming space where individuals can begin healing without pressure, judgment, or cost. Guided by compassion and understanding, Wendy is committed to walking alongside others as they reconnect with their voices, their strength, and their own truths, in their own time.
